The 2010 North American Leadership Conference showcases the impact of private giving on the advancement of pediatric medical research and patient care.
In Atlanta, Children’s Circle of Care (CCC) members will convene for the morning Leadership Conference at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre to hear presentations by three prominent pediatric physicians, scientists and researchers selected from the 25 children’s hospitals that participate in the CCC program.
Atlanta native and famed comedian Jeff Foxworthy will welcome guests to the Georgia Dome for the Leadership Luncheon. In the past, Foxworthy has graciously lent his talents to benefit Duke University Children’s Hospital and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Home of the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, the Georgia Dome is the largest cable-supported domed stadium in the world, host of two Supers Bowls and was a featured venue during the 1996 Olympics. Lunch will be served on the field, at the 50-yard line.
The Gala will be held at the Georgia Aquarium. With 8 million gallons of water, the Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the world, housing more than 100,000 animals of 500 different species. Before dinner, enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres during a private viewing of the aquarium’s five galleries. Following the reception, guests will enjoy dinner and a private concert by music icon and Southern native Lionel Richie.
